The Carnival Pride is the second of Carnival Cruise Line's
successful Spirit Class of ships. The Spirit class
of ships was somewhat of a departure from most of Carnival's ships given
that they are not only a variance from the other classes of ships but
also having been constructed in Helsinki, Finland at Kværner Masa
Yards.
The theme throughout the Carnival Pride is that of 'Icons of
Beauty'. Beauty is emphasized in a variety of forms and media
aboard Carnival Pride. In the main lobby, atrium, elevator,
and stairwell areas, the central theme is that of the Italian
Renaissance. Guests can experience this through the reproduction
murals by Botticelli, Raphael, and other Italian painters.
Guests can experience architectural details of Victorian England, Beaux
Arts France, Renaissance Italy, the Byzantine Empires, and ancient
Greece all within one walk through the ship.
Carnival Pride encompasses all of the modern elements that create
the Carnival Cruise Line 'Fun Ship' experience. Her interior
touches on the fun and whimsy that past guests have come to love as well
as incorporating classy and traditional elements. Carnival Pride
has typically sailed Caribbean, Mexico, and Panama Canal itineraries.
