Located
forward on Promenade Deck is the Princess Theater which seats 550
guests, typically in two show seatings. |
|
|
The Princess
Theater is a classic Broadway theater which is remarkable for its lack
of pillars and clear sight views of the stage. The twenty-six foot
proscenium arch stage is one of the largest at sea. |

Located within the Princess Theater is 'The First Performance', acrylic
on canvas, by United States artist Istvan Bernath. |
|
|
The
foyer of the Princess Theater opens to the 120 seat Wheelhouse Bar,
which is just truly a delightful location and very rustic in
nature.
It is modeled after an officers' bar of yesterday's liners and is
accented with leather furniture, rosewood paneled walls, and a
collection of ship memorabilia.
Given its location, it is
an ideal and cozy venue to enjoy pre or post entertainment beverages.

Located
amidships on Promenade Deck is a Roman Marble Trapeziaphorus, circa 30
BC. |

The
Atrium Lounge surrounds the Grand Plaza and is a prime venue for people
watching. It seats only 44 guests and has a beautiful dancefloor.
Magnum's is another intimate location where guests may enjoy a variety
of imported champagnes and wine by the glass, along with a selection of
imported caviar. |
|
|
A miniature
atrium, if you will, allows guests to ascent a sweeping staircase up to
the Grand Casino. Located at the base is a sculpture titled,
'Ascending', by Gianmaria Potenza of Italy. |

|
Jammer's is Dawn
Princess' nightclub and has a celestial theme throughout with
curving neon lighting overhead. |
|
|
State-of-the-art
technology in Jammer's includes flat panel televisions to broadcast
music videos. |
|
|
The Passages
Library provides comfortable seating in which to enjoy some good books
while at sea. The library's wood panels create a cozy old world
feeling. Writing desks are also available. |
|
|
Just adjacent
to Passages is the Deck to Deck Internet room. Here, guests may
keep in touch with others around the World by means of a variety of
pricing packages. |

Parallel to
the library and Internet centre is the ship's photo gallery. Here,
guests can browse through and purchase photos that have been taken of
them throughout the cruise. |
|
Digital
photography services are also available for those who would like to
transfer their photos to a disc, etc. |
|

Completely
aft on Promenade Deck is the Vista Lounge, which seats 480 guests.
The Vista Lounge is
secondary to the Princess Theater and features cabaret style acts.
Tiered seating helps those from around the room to easily see the stage.
The Vista Lounge
incorporates much of the look seen throughout the ship, such as marbles,
woods, and light tones. Offsetting this, though, is colorful neon
lighting set into the ceiling which provides a nice contrast.
Despite the expansive
square footage in the Vista Lounge, there are many areas in which guests
can retreat to curl up with a book or converse with fellow cruisers.
Circling the Promenade Deck
outdoors is a teak wooden full circuit walk. The external
promenade deck truly adds to Dawn Princess' allure of being a
traditional and classic vessel.
The aft circuit
completion provides views of the ship's wake and that of the forward
section gives a view into the ship's mooring deck.
