Deck Seven

Customary on most all of the modern ships of Norwegian Cruise Line is not only the exterior hull art but also the whimsical artwork along the outdoor promenade deck.  The artwork along the promenade indicate the corresponding interior venue, such as bowling pins to illustrate the activities of Bliss Ultra Lounge.

Norwegian Pearl's promenade deck provides a full, three-hundred-and-sixty degree circuit so guests can walk completely around.

Bliss Ultra Lounge is truly a unique concept for today's cruise industry standards.  Walking into Bliss takes you into a chic, New York style loft with an abundance of casual seating options.  By seating options, most of it translates to couches and beds.

This is a most unique venue in which to enjoy beverages, chat with newly found friends, and view music videos on one of the many overhead flat panel screens.  The Bliss Ultra Lounge has the seating capacity for 176 guests.

If the inherent concept of the casual and chic Bliss Ultra Lounge weren't enough, there are also four bowling lanes with dazzling lighting and neon colored balls.

Bliss Ultra Lounge is unique beyond words and just about reason enough to want to book aboard Norwegian Pearl and give this nightclub a try.

Forward of Bliss Ultra Lounge on the port and starboard sides respectively, are the Internet Café / Art Gallery and the Photo Gallery.  Guests may not only get in touch with art appreciation but also with the rest of the World as they surf the Internet or check e-mails.

On the opposite side is Norwegian Pearl's Photo Gallery where guests may browse through photos that have been taken of them throughout the cruise.  Other services are also available such as camera supply retail sales and converting camera shots digitally to a CD.

Generally speaking, the concept of the ship's atrium has been to be the central hub of all guest services and activities.  It is intended to join many of the most commonly frequented entertainment and service venues.  Norwegian Pearl's Crystal Atrium not only serves this purpose but is also a destination in and of itself.

One of the most striking features of the Crystal Atrium is 'Norwegian Pearl Tower 2006' by American artist Dale Chihuly.  Chihuly's Towers evolved from his Chandeliers.  In 1992 he began massing blown glass forms on steel armatures to create large, hanging sculptures.  During the Chihuly Over Venice project he experimented extensively with the Chandeliers, varying both the shapes of the glass parts and the shapes of the Chandeliers.  Subsequent projects challenged Chihuly to create large sculptures in spaces where ceilings could not bear the weight of his Chandeliers, giving life to the development of Chihuly's Towers.

Proceeding forward of the Crystal Atrium, guests will find a number of Asian dining opportunities.  In addition to a sushi and sashimi bar, there is also the Teppanyaki Room and the Lotus Garden Asian Restaurant.  The Teppanyaki experience allows guests to have their meal prepared before them at tables for ten.  The larger Lotus Garden Restaurant provides worldly cuisine from the countries of Japan, China, Thailand, and many more.

Adjacent to these eateries is a sweeping staircase that will lead guests back down to deck six and Bar Central.

Shopping is always a popular activity for guests taking a cruise and the Trade Routes Boutiques accommodates this pastime very well.  The shops are laid out very well in a winding avenue format, which creates a sense of strolling through chic streets to browse and shop. nclp61.jpg (47019 bytes) nclp60.jpg (46889 bytes)
