Completely
aft of the Boardwalk is the ground breaking AquaTheater featuring World
class performers to create and unforgettable guest entertainment
experience.
Soaring platforms flank either side of the Aqua Theater with a giant
trampoline suspended between them to allow divers to perform flips and
dismounts into the pool. A team of eighteen divers perform
incredible maneuvers from heights of three, ten, and ultimately eighteen
meters.
Guests will not even see many of the revolutionary engineering
techniques of the Aqua Theater. Various portions of the stage are
raised and lowered to reveal different performers throughout the
show. Among just some of the state of the art technology here are
underwater cameras to project the divers' every move onto two giant LED
screens on both sides of the stage. Technology is controlled from
glass booths beside the rock climbing walls by a team of talented sound
and lighting engineers.
Oasis of the Seas debuted the shows 'Splish Splash' and 'Oasis of
Dreams' upon her inauguration. 'Splish Splash' takes part during
the day and is a family show filled with poolside thrills and Olympic
style diving.
'Oasis of Dreams' is an evening show which leaves guests awe struck
after each performance. It is set to an original soundtrack and
synchronized with fountain shows and lighting & special effects
where the cast performs a heart pounding routine, showing off the
incredible sound system.
One of the influential minds behind the dive performances is 1983 record
breaking diver Dana Kunze who performed a high dive at a staggering
height of 172 feet. As Oasis of the Seas performed Sea Trials in
the Baltic, Dana displayed his own talent by diving from the three meter
spring board followed by two jumps from the towers 18 meters above.
