Vision
of the Seas
follows a Royal Caribbean tradition of having her embarkation lobby open
upward to the soaring Centrum to create a truly impressive boarding for
guests.
Flanking the base of the Centrum are seating areas where guests can
enjoy musicians that play by evening. Nearby, the Champagne Bar
and Terrace seat 248 guests combined.
Anchoring the Centrum just aft of the Champagne Bar is a sculpture by
British artist Peter Layton of stainless steel, glass, and gold plated
brass.
The 1,200 guest
capacity Edelweiss Dining Room spans two decks - Promenade and Main
Decks. The overall feel of the main dining room is very light,
airy, and accented with bright, floral patterns both in soft goods,
glass, and lighting.
The forward wall of the Edelweiss Dining Room is dominated by a glass
chandelier wall spanning two decks. Opposite of this impressive
focal point on the aft wall, lower level, is an oil on canvas titled
'Alpine landscape' by American artist Bernie Fuchs.
Bernard Fuchs draws inspiration from the magnificence of the European
countryside and has dedicated his career to his love of nature and
mountains.
