Views from Sky Deck completely forward provide views that span across Veendam's upper decks.

Located aft on Sky Deck are the facilities of Club HAL.  Holland America Line provides a wide variety of exciting youth and teen friendly activities and facilities for guests of the ages three to seventeen.

There are three distinct programmes available for youth on board : Club HALŪ Kids, Club HALŪ Tweens, and Teens.

For children 3 to 7 years of age, activities are available such as story telling, fabric painting, arts and crafts, drawing contests, ice cream sundae parties, puzzles, bingo, pirate treasure hunts, and farewell pizza parties.

For tweens from ages eight to twelve, activities available include golf putting, theme parties, on deck sports events, and scavenger hunts.

The Loft and the Oasis are available for guests of age thirteen to seventeen.  Activities herein include a teen disco, karaoke sessions, video games, teen sports tournaments, card games, trivia contests, bingo, movies, and videos.
