There is a wide variety of venues and activities lined up along Lido Deck for nearly every interest level. Forward on Lido Deck is the Greenhouse Spa. Guests may visit the Greenhouse Spa to schedule massage or salon appointments or proceed inside to use the ship's gymnasium. The gymnasium is extensively equipped with a wide range of cardiovascular and weight training machines. One of the most alluring features of the Greenhouse Spa is the Thermal Suite. For a nominal daily fee or whole voyage package cost, guests may indulge in the luxury of steam and sauna rooms or lie back on heated ceramic lounge chairs that are reminiscent of a Turkish Bath. Also part of the Greenhouse Spa is the hydrotherapy pool. This is a wonderful option where one can enjoy bubbling warm, therapeutic sea water. For those wishing to be more active, a wide range of fitness classes are also available such as yoga, pilates, spinning, aquarobics, and cardio circuit training. Many of the spa services are very popular and it is encouraged that guests visit the reception desk of the Greenhouse Spa soon after boarding to guarantee an appointment of their choice. This is particularly true for sea days prior to a formal evening. Port day specials may also be available for a variety of the services. The forward staircase lobby and Greenhouse Spa reception area opens aft to the amidships pool. The predominant feature of the pool here is 'Polar bear with her cub' sculpted in bronze by artist Susanna Holt. Susanna Holt works primarily on privately commissioned monumental sculptures. She has exhibited her work in galleries all over the World and is represented in museums both in the United States and Europe. Most all Holland America Line ships also feature her sculptures. Whether sailing the sunny Caribbean or the Mediterranean Sea, guests may enjoy a cool beverage poolside at the Lido Bar. The Terrace Grill also serves up hot snacks to accompany the cuisine from the Lido Restaurant just aft. The Lido Restaurant is Zuiderdam's casual dining venue and can seat up to 446 guests. There is nothing casual about the high quality of food and service within the Lido Restaurant, however. The Lido Restaurant features stations so that guests may proceed to exactly the type of food that they prefer. Some examples of these stations are those of Italian food, a sandwich station, and the Wok for pan Asian cuisine. Beverage stations are also located forward and aft within the Lido Restaurant. Casual dining for dinner time is also available by evening. Bar service is also then available for those wishing to enjoy a glass of wine or other cocktail with their meal. For breakfast and lunch, guests may also dine outdoors to enjoy their meal al fresco. Completely aft on Lido Deck is the Sea View pool and Sea View bar. The pool is accompanied by two Jacuzzi tubs.
